Basic course in emergency support services

The course is intended for all Red Cross and Voluntary Rescue Service (Vapepa) operators or those interested in the activities.
After the training, the participant…
• Knows the overall concept of emergency support
• Understands the role of the authorities in supporting and supplementing the assistance activities carried out by volunteers
• Recognizes the need for help and those in a vulnerable position
• Is able to participate in organizing emergency support
• Can apply what they have learned in first aid emergency tasks,
• Understands the principles of emergency team operations and their own role in accordance with the operating principles of their own organization and Vapepa
• Knows how to get involved in local activities.

The course is free of charge. Red Cross provides coffee, lunch and course materials.
